Nassif Zaytoun from Syria has won the title Star Academy 7 after fans voted for him giving the handsome young man an overwhelming majority over the other contestants.
Zaytoun, 21, got 65.21 of the votes.
In addition to the trophy, Zaytoun received $50,000 in cash and a brand new car.
Zaytoun and the two final contestants -- Mohammed Ramadan from Jordan and Rahma al-Sabahi from Iraq -- held hands as the winner was announced.
But Nassif did not realize he won until Rahma poked him in the shoulder.
